How the

Meme works

Ztonks is a launchpad you pay for in Zcash. A meme coin's bonding curve here is denominated in a tokenized meme stock — or a basket of them. Every buy puts stock into the curve. Every sell takes it back out. Send ZEC, get a live coin. No wallet to connect.

Apes basket sticker

Pick your meme stock. One ticker — say GME — or a basket of up to six, like Apes: half GME, half AMC. A basket is a token minted 1:1 against fixed proportions of its components, about $1 a unit on day one.

Launch. Send ZEC to the address shown and, usually within about 15 minutes of the payment confirming, a bonding curve appears whose pair token is your pick. Buys put stock in; sells take it out. A basket buy is still one transaction: pull the components, mint the basket, buy the coin.

Then the crowd does crowd things. Basket units redeem 1:1 for their components. Founders earn a 2% creator fee on trades. Nothing is insured, nothing is guaranteed, and a raise is not a promise.

Questions apes ask

Is this financial advice?

No. It is a launchpad. A meme coin can go to zero even when its curve holds stock, because the coin's price is set by the curve and the crowd, not by the backing alone.

What does “backed by GME” actually mean?

The curve's quote asset is tokenized GME. When someone buys the coin, GME goes into the curve. When someone sells, GME comes out. The coin is a claim on what sits in the curve, at the curve's price.

What is a basket?

An ERC-20 minted 1:1 against fixed proportions of two to six meme stocks from the roster. One unit is about $1 of components on the day it is created. Anyone holding basket units can redeem them 1:1 for the components.

How do I launch?

Name the coin, choose the backing, send ZEC to the address shown. It launches by itself, usually within about 15 minutes of the payment confirming. No wallet to connect. If the payment is short or never arrives, the ZEC is returned to the refund address you gave.

Who holds the stock?

The curve does. Buyers and sellers trade from their own wallets, on the market page, straight against the curve. Nobody here holds a trader's stock, coins or keys.

What happens at graduation?

Depends on the backing. A coin backed by a single approved stock graduates from its curve into a Uniswap pool once the raise target is hit. A basket-backed coin keeps trading on its own curve for good — there, graduation means the raise target was hit and the founder's accrued 2% creator fee becomes claimable.

What are the fees?

One ZEC payment launches the coin; the launch page shows the address and the amount before you send anything. After that, a 2% creator fee on trades goes to the founder. Traders pay gas on their own trades, because gas.

Can I lose money?

Yes. Obviously. Nothing here is insured or guaranteed, a raise is not a promise, and a sticker of a rocket is not a rocket.
